We are very pleased with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions and the work they completed for us. We opted for the 14X16 Pavilion to be used for our outdoor kitchen and lounge area, The Pavilion joins the pool area to our patio. It was painted to match the trim on the house and topped off with a black metal roof. The ceiling of the Pavilion was stained with a pecan stain that our salesman suggested, and we are very pleased with the results.

In May 2023, Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions built a pavilion over my existing backyard patio. I am well beyond satisfied with the pavilion Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions build. I have enjoyed this structure all summer and know that I will enjoy it for many years to come. The end result far exceeded my expectations.

From my initial contact with owner John O’Brien back in March, all members were outstanding. All of my questions were answered promptly, the permit process went smoothly, and great suggestions were made regarding options and stain color.

Once construction started, carpenters Levi and John (not the owner) were terrific. The cement piers were poured on Monday, and construction took place over 2 ½ days later in the week. Levi and John are very skilled carpenters and worked very hard on my project. They put in 2 very long days, and returned for a few hours on Friday to add the corner braces. As they worked, I was impressed that they never looked at a blueprint or plan!

Coincidentally, my neighbor had a gazebo built at the same time my pavilion was being constructed. After seeing the finished product in my yard, he said he wished he had hired the same crew that I did!

I know this structure will provide shade and shelter in my yard for many years to come. I’ve been wanting to put a pergola on our roof since we moved into our condo a year ago but was so wry about starting the process – and then I found John and his team at Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions! What a spectacular and individualized experience. John came out to see the space, talk through details, and provide a free quote for multiple options so we had choices. He was extremely responsive during the entire process, answering question after question by providing detailed answers so nothing was left in question. Even when we were struggling to pick a stain color, he dropped off a sample page so we could make an informed decision. We worked with Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions as part of our backyard transformation project. They designed and built a beautiful custom cedar pavilion for us.

The design and estimate process was quick and easy to understand what options were available and what the end product was going to be. I gathered various quotes on different pavilion options and Chicagoland Pergolas and Pavilions was very competitive for what you got – especially when you start comparing the type and size of lumber to others. They use top quality materials throughout – wood, paint, roofing, and stain.

The actual build of the pavilion was also a fantastic experience. The crew was knowledgeable, friendly, communicative, easy to work with, and cleaned up along the way. Craftsmanship was top-notch, meaning the entire structure was trimmed out nicely, numerous coats of paint and stain applied, as well caulking on all seams and gaps for a flawless end result.

Mark Nickley, Jared, and Levi did a superb job on our pergola. It looks very nice and keeps the harmful UV rays out. Now we can enjoy our patio with the beautiful pergola.
